Scattered across the X4 universe are ownerless wrecks, derelict and abandoned ships you can claim for free, from cheap scouts to a full destroyer. Below are the six confirmed locations; turn on the Derelict Ships lens above to see them on the map, then plan a jump-gate route from your start system.

Timeline-reward ships in X4: Foundations
Beyond the derelicts, the Timelines DLC hands out nine unique reward ships (TL1 to TL9) scattered across the galaxy. Each one only appears in your save after you complete the matching Timelines scenario. Flip on the Derelict Ships lens above. The same toggle now also shows these in violet, ready to plan a route to.

The Odysseus Vanguard, an L-class destroyer in Faulty Logic VII. Since 4.0 HF2 it spawns fully equipped, so you can claim it by spacewalking to the bridge.
How do I claim a derelict ship in X4?
Leave your ship in a spacesuit, fly to the wreck and repair the red pulsing light on the hull. Once repaired the ship is yours. This works the same for every ship size.
Does this X4 map include all DLCs?
Yes, the full universe with Split Vendetta, Cradle of Humanity, Tides of Avarice and Kingdom End installed, current for the v9.0 sector layout. Resource data (ore, silicon, ice, gases, scrap) follows after the X4 9.0 update.
